Zipchat costs $49 a month on Starter for 500 AI replies, $129 a month on Growth for 1,500 replies and $249 a month on Pro for 3,000 replies, with top-up packs sold when a store runs out before the month ends. A reply is one AI message, so a three-message chat uses three replies: the Starter pack covers about 170 conversations, Growth about 500, Pro about 1,000. Prices checked September 2026.

What the pricing page does not make obvious
- Replies, not conversations, are counted, so chatty visitors cost three to five times more than the pack name suggests.
- A sale, a promo email or a Black Friday weekend can empty a pack in days, which is exactly when you cannot switch it off.
- Zipchat is Shopify-centred; stores on other platforms get less of the catalogue integration.
What a real month costs on Zipchat
Is Zipchat worth it?
Zipchat is a capable sales assistant for Shopify, and the reply packs are transparent. The problem is structural: the bill is highest in the months that matter most, and a store cannot plan for it. What happens when I run out of Zipchat replies?
The assistant stops answering until you buy a top-up pack or the next month starts, which tends to happen during sales, when traffic peaks.
